Delegates will learn to use haemostatic dressings/agents & tourniquets demonstrating how to control catastrophic bleeding using direct pressure, haemostatic dressings/agents, tourniquets and manage a casualty suffering from hypovolaemic shock completing each step listed within the scenario on the Practical Assessment Record. Finally we will learn to recognize suspected Lyme disease and identify how to prevent being bitten and administer first aid for a tick bite, using suitable tools and methods to remove the parasites.
